Thanks to all that attended and contributed to the seed swap. It was a wonderful turn out and lots to choose from. Moscow community garden is hosting a seed swap this Saturday, February 6th; at the old 1912 Building from 10 am to 12pm.
Rumor has it the weather is going to get into the 70s next week! That's a huge turn around from the past few days of frosty mornings, cold rainy days, and fierce winds. Plants are going to shoot up like crazy; get those starts in the ground, seeds sowed and watch life emerge from the earth. Bask in the rays of the sun, get that Vitamin D.
Today(9am-6pm) and tomorrow(8am-12pm) is the Asotin County Conservation District Annual Tree Sale! There's a healthy amount of trees and shrubs to choose from. Prices start at $1.00- 2.00 each for bareroots and bulk bundles(20-25 plants) are $12.00-30.00. We encourage our community to take part in keeping Washington green and balancing our eco-system with plants which are naturally found in our region. Thanks to all that take part in this event and hope to get more interested in growing! This sale helps the ACCD as much as it helps our enviornment, so please plant a tree today.
It's the beginning of the 2012 growing season and the deadline has come. To grow from seed or to buy the plant. As a member of the garden you are welcome to use the seeds we have available. There will also be starts available in the greenhouse and space for you to get your seeds started. If there is something we don't have that you'd perfer we have local businesses to fill those needs.
